标准的击剑剑道有14米长，根据有效击中点及比赛规则不同，击剑运动又分为花剑、佩剑和重剑三个剑种，此次在成都比赛的是重剑项目。
其中，美国女子重剑国家队的凯利·赫利和考特尼·赫利两姐妹尤为引人注目。目前，这两姐妹的个人积分排名分别是世界第七和第八。
The standard fencing track is 14 meters long.Based on different rules and effective hit points, fencing is divided into foil, sabre, and epee. The competition held in Chengdu was the epee competition. Among them, the Hurley sisters Kelley and Courtney from the US team were quite conspicuous because their world rankings were 7th and 8th.
这也许不是两姐妹表现最完美的一次比赛，但她们这次却在成都收获了两个专属小粉丝。双胞胎兄弟大米和小米，是此次比赛的志愿者，今年10岁的兄弟俩练习击剑已经5年了。
It might not be the sisters’ perfect competition. But they had gained two little fans in Chengdu. The twin brothers are volunteers. They have been training to fence for 5 years.
两天的时间里，大小米在家门口见证了世界顶尖击剑高手之间的对决，也在她们身上学会了面对比赛时该有的平常心。
目前，成都有9家业余击剑俱乐部，击剑爱好者有上万人。4-14岁的小朋友是成都学习击剑的主力军，目前，成都已有20多所学校开设了击剑相关的课程。
In the two-day event, Dami and Xiaomi watched world level fencing matches and learned from the fencers the right attitude during a match.
At present, Chengdu has 9 amateur fencing clubs with over 10,000 fencing learners.Kids aged from 4 to 14 are the main fencing learners.There are also over 20 Chengdu schools providing fencing class.
由中国击剑协会成立的中国击剑俱乐部联赛已经举办了10年，参赛者大多是10-16岁的青少年。今年的参赛人数众多，仅西部赛区的参赛选手就多达1500人，其中成都有400多人参赛。
Organized by the CFA, the China Fencing League has been held for 10 years, participated by teenagers from 10 to 16. There were a lot of participants this year.
Only the western region competition had over 1,500 participants, over 400 of which were from Chengdu.
今年，成都还将举办ATP250成都公开赛、铁人三项世界杯、世界体育舞蹈节 、“一带一路”成都国际乒乓球公开赛、 FISE世界极限运动巡回赛等国际性体育赛事，不仅让成都人能在家门口就见证世界顶级赛事和明星选手的魅力，也向世界娓娓诉说这座正在建设中的世界赛事名城深厚的文化体育底蕴。
Chengdu will host international sports events such as the ATP 250 Chengdu Open, the Triathlon World Cup, the World Sports Dance Festival, the 2019 One Belt One Road Chengdu International Table Tennis Open and the FISE World Extreme Sports Tour. Chengdu locals are able to watch and get firsthand experience of top world games and athletes. Chengdu is showing the world how passionate and devoted it is in becoming a world-class city of sports.
